Friday Fun Find Gigi New York All In One Bag and a Special Offer
{Gigi New York All In One Bag, $98}
Can you believe Ive never owned a black bag before? I mean, big red hair, a loud mouth, and a general disregard for "blending in" dont exactly lend themselves to the understated. In my history of purse and bag ownership, Ive had hot pink, gold, bronze, tan, pony print, and even brown. So when I laid my eyes on this gorgeous clutch by Gigi New York, I decided if I was gonna class it up and get a black bag in my lifetime, now was the time.
Everything about this bag is special: the buttery yellow box it arrives in...
...the suede tassel and gold hardware zipper pull...

...the supple leather lining interior...

And this is why my new clutch is this weeks Friday Fun Find--and now its yours too!
So, what color clutch are you gonna get? And are you doing monogramming??

Garlic Ginger Bok Choy – Cheap Easy and Fun to Say!
One quick anecdote before you watch the clip. I was taking roll call on Day 1 in one of my first classes as an instructor at the Culinary Academy, and was going down the list calling out the names and listening for the traditional call back, “here Chef,” when I saw on my roster “Bok Choy.” Well, that’s an interesting name, so I called out the name and heard in a very deep voice, “here Chef.” I looked up to make eye contact, as I did with all the students as I called roll for the first time, and sitting there was this very tall, Scandinavian-looking gentleman with blond curly hair. I asked him if that was his nickname and he said no, that was his real name. Now, the classes at the school were 3 weeks long, and as much as I wanted to, I resisted the temptation to go up and ask this man how he came to get the name Bok Choy. So, Bok Choy, if you are reading this post, please email or comment and tell me how you got the name! It’s been 5 years and I’m still wondering.
Ingredients:
3-4 Heads Of Baby Bok Choy
1/2 Cup Sliced Red Peppers
2 Clove Garlic
1 Tbl Ginger
1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tbl Vegetable Oil
1 Tbl Soy Sauce
8 Drops Sesame Oil

Friday Fun Find Sephora Pure Beige Eyeliner
{Sephora Nano Eyeliner, $5}
Ive heard that upon birth, your eyes are the size they will be the rest of your life. Like, they dont grow. Your face grows around them. I don’t know if that’s true, but if it is, I’m sure my mom suffered through many questions about her baby’s Japanimation-style eyes. Despite my freakishly small hands, I don’t suffer from the same diminutiveness on my face—my “big eyes” are one of the things I get complimented on the most. So the last thing I need is to make them look bigger, but does that stop me? NEVER! Which is why when I spotted this shimmery beige eyeliner at Sephora with my littlebig eye, I had to have it.

Legend has it that beige and white liners used in the waterline of the eye can help open the eye and make it appear larger. As we’ve established, I don’t require help in this area, but I do want to look bright-eyed and bushytail, so my fellow wide-eyed ladies will be happy to know that it has the added benefit of doing that. I’ve been using it in my waterline, but I’m sure you could also use this on your top lashline to an ethereal, summery look. A bit of mascara, a little peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks and BAM, you’re in the murda bizness.

Peach and Blackberry Flognarde As Delicious to Eat as it is Fun to Say!
I was looking around for a name for this unusual clafouti-like combination of peaches, blackberries, thyme and black pepper, when I saw an article that said in France, a clafouti that uses fruit other than cherries is called a flognarde.A flognarde? Yes, a flognarde. I enjoy saying flognarde so much, I think even if this recipe hadnt come out as well as it did, I would have still made it regularly - just to say, flognarde. As I mentioned in the video, I couldnt find a proper French pronunciation, so please enlighten me on how it should really sound. Until then, Im going with "flog-nard."
This recipe is dedicated to the more adventurous among you. I knew going in that the thought of adding black pepper and thyme to a dessert-ish recipe would freak some of you out. But, thats okay.
The pepper gives this a very subtle hint of heat, and the thyme adds an almost unperceivable herbaceous, slightly lemony aroma. Is this something you will enjoy? There is really only one way to know. Enjoy!
1/2 cup wheat flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp thyme leaves
1/4 tsp fresh black pepper
pinch of salt
1 tsp butter
1 pint blackberries, rinsed
1 ripe peach, sliced

Friday Fun Find
Now that Ive passed that hallmark, I can think of no better find in recent history than Sephora by O.P.I nail color drying drops at a steal for $4:
Im sure youve tried some kind of quick drying serum in the past--perhaps that spray can of mink oil that undoubtedly has no actual mink anything in it that your local nail salon pushes to try to get you out of the drying station as fast as possible, which actually doesnt bother you anyway since they got rid of the comfy seats and brought in backless stools to try and fit thrice as many people than the square footage actually allows in just ONE MORE attempt to make what should be your relaxing manicure a hellacious visit to a petri dish?!? Or maybe thats just me? Nevertheless, whatever quick drying techniques youve used before are now completely obsolete, thanks to this little potion.

{Essie polish in Mint Candy Apple, $8}
